Terms of Service

Welcome to CareerQuest! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our programs, services, and website. By enrolling in our programs or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CareerQuest services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms on your behalf.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.

2. Eligibility and Registration

Age Requirements

Our programs are designed for students ages 14-22. Students under 18 must have parent/guardian consent to participate.

Registration

To enroll in our programs, you must:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current registration information
  • Maintain and update your account information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3. Program Enrollment and Fees

Enrollment

Enrollment is subject to availability and acceptance by CareerQuest. We reserve the right to refuse enrollment to any applicant.

Payment

  • Program fees must be paid in full before the program start date, unless a payment plan has been arranged
  • All fees are in U.S. dollars
  • Payment methods include credit card, debit card, and electronic bank transfer
  • You are responsible for any payment processing fees

Refund Policy

  • Full Refund: Available if you withdraw before the program start date
  • Prorated Refund: Available within the first two weeks of the program, prorated based on completed sessions
  • No Refund: After two weeks from program start, no refunds will be issued
  • Emergency Circumstances: Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for documented emergencies

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@careerhub.com.

4. Program Participation and Conduct

Expected Conduct

All participants must:

  • Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect
  • Participate actively and constructively
  • Attend scheduled sessions on time
  • Complete assignments and activities to the best of their ability
  • Follow all platform rules and guidelines

Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
  • Sharing inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content
  • Cheating or academic dishonesty
  • Disrupting sessions or activities
  • Recording sessions without permission
  • Sharing login credentials with others
  • Any illegal activity

Consequences

Violation of conduct policies may result in:

  • Warning and behavior review
  • Suspension from program activities
  • Removal from the program without refund
  • Legal action if warranted

5. Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content provided by CareerQuest, including course materials, videos, worksheets, assessments, and website content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, or reproduce our content without permission
  • Use our content for commercial purposes
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

Your Content

By submitting work, projects, or other content to CareerQuest, you grant us a license to use, display, and share your content for educational and promotional purposes (with your permission). We will always credit student work appropriately.

6. Technology Requirements and Platform Use

Students are responsible for:

  • Providing necessary technology (computer, internet connection, webcam, microphone)
  • Ensuring technology meets minimum requirements
  • Troubleshooting basic technical issues
  • Maintaining internet connectivity

CareerQuest provides technical support but is not responsible for technology failures or internet connectivity issues.

7. Attendance and Participation

  • Regular attendance is expected for all scheduled sessions
  • Sessions may be recorded for students who cannot attend live
  • Excessive absences may affect your ability to receive a certificate of completion
  • Notify instructors in advance if you cannot attend a session

8. Certificates and Credentials

  • Certificates of completion are awarded to students who meet program requirements
  • Requirements typically include attendance, participation, and completion of assignments
  • Certificates are digital and can be shared on resumes and LinkedIn
  • CareerQuest certificates are not accredited academic credentials

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

No Guarantee of Results

While we strive to provide high-quality career education, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, including college admission, job placement, internships, or career success.

Educational Information Only

Our programs provide educational information and guidance but do not constitute professional career counseling, legal advice, or guaranteed career placement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareerQuest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our privacy practices.

11. Communication

By enrolling in our programs, you consent to receive communications from CareerQuest via:

  • Email (program updates, announcements, newsletters)
  • Platform messages and notifications
  • Phone (if provided, for important program matters)

You may opt out of marketing communications but will continue to receive essential program-related messages.

12. Modifications to Services

CareerQuest reserves the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services
  • Change program schedules, content, or instructors as needed
  • Update fees for future programs (enrolled students' fees remain unchanged)

We will make reasonable efforts to notify participants of significant changes.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our services if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You engage in prohibited conduct
  • Payment obligations are not met
  • We cease operations (with appropriate notice)

Upon termination, your right to use our services immediately ceases.

14. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before pursuing formal action, please contact us at info@careerhub.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State], without regard to conflict of law principles.
